This Cherry and Cacao Nib Smoothie is my OBSESSION these days. I can’t stop drinking it. I actually didn’t really realize how much I liked cherries until recently. From what I knew I didn’t think I really liked them. I am not sure what changed but now I really can’t get enough of them. I really can’t stop eating cherries!
My husband and I both really love cacao nibs. They are the prefect combination of crunch and chocolate flavor. They can really be a great substitute for chocolate chips if you are trying to avoid extra-added sugars. We put them in smoothies, cookies, muffins and a myriad of other things. They also provide antioxidants and compliment the cherry flavor in this smoothie perfectly.
This smoothie really is the perfect combination of sweet, tart and rich. You can add some protein to it for a quick breakfast or afternoon snack. It also usually helps me curb my sweet tooth so I don’t eat a bunch of chocolate chip cookies.
Enjoy!
