Toasted Almond Joy Chocolate Chia Shake

Ingredients

Shake

  • 1 can full-fat coconut milk
  • 3 Tbsp cacao powder
  • 1 Tbsp chia seeds
  • 2 Tbsp shredded coconut
  • 1 Tbsp almond butter
  • 3 Tbsp honey or maple (see notes)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 56 ice cubes

Toppings

  • 3 Tbsp shredded coconut or chips
  • 2 Tbsp slivered almonds
  • Chocolate chips/shavings (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet to medium heat and add the shredded coconut and slivered almonds and toast for 3-4 minutes or until the mixture is toasted. Set aside to cool.
  2. Add all of the milkshake ingredients to a blender and blend thoroughly.
  3. Split the shake between two glasses and top with the toasted coconut and almond. Add chocolate shavings if desired.

Notes

  • You can always replace the sweetener with Stevia for a sugar free alternative.
